PCIM After-Work Event in Munich
On 18 February 2025, it was time for the PCIM After-Work Event at the Munich Künstlerhaus, bringing together professionals from the power electronics industry for an exciting evening. The focus of the evening was the increasingly relevant topic of sustainability in power electronics, which was discussed by the participants and examined from various perspectives.
The evening centered around an expert talk by Ole Gerkensmeyer, Vice President EMEA Sales at Nexperia Deutschland GmbH. Speaking on the subject of "Re-use at the highest level," he provided in-depth insights into the circular economy and highlighted the opportunities and challenges sustainable practices present for the industry. In addition to professional insights, the evening also offered excellent opportunities for networking and interacting with colleagues and experts. New contacts were established and existing relationships strengthened over food and drinks.

The PCIM After-Work Event on 20 November 2024 was a resounding success, offering attendees fascinating insights into "3D Printing in Power Electronics." The evening began with a tour of the Formnext Expo, where selected exhibitors presented groundbreaking solutions and applications of 3D printing for power electronics. Participants had the opportunity to engage directly with experts and experience innovative technologies up close.
A highlight of the event was the inspiring keynote speech by Jan Schenk, Senior Consultant at ACAM Aachen Center for Additive Manufacturing GmbH. His talk on "Additive Manufacturing in Power Electronics" impressively demonstrated the possibilities and potential of this forward-thinking technology. The evening concluded with a relaxed networking atmosphere and delicious food. The combination of expert knowledge, interaction, and enjoyment made the event a memorable experience for all attendees.
